Secretary Donovan traveled to NY today to announce, along with New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, $60 million in funding over the next three years for homeowner counseling and legal services, Reuters.

Also today in NY, Via Verde, a green affordable housing complex in the South Bronx officially opened its doors, and Secretary Donovan and Mayor Bloomberg were there to celebrate.

The Hill reports, “lawmakers working to streamline mortgage refinancing for homeowners.”

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel ran “HUD Secretary: Homeowners need more help.”

And, U.S. Congressman Mike Thompson (D-CA 1) announced a $145,837 federal grant to help provide permanent housing and support for veterans on the North Coast.
