John Elway wasn’t the only John making news in Denver. As Elway introduced Peyton Manning as the new Bronco Quarterback, John Trasviña, HUD Assistant Secretary unveiled the new LGBT housing rule to stop housing discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.
Tuesday, at a press conference in Denver the Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity joined HUD Rocky Mountain Region Administrator Rick Garcia to announce that HUD has taken steps to ensure the LGBT community has equal access to housing and HUD programs.
During the media event, HUD also presented a grant to the Colorado Civil Rights Division to help fight housing discrimination.
