Nothing is more frustrating than having to spend countless hours surfing an endless array of websites that may or may not have the information for which you’re looking.
And when American jobs are at stake, every second counts.
Imagine you’re a business owner trying to grow your business and are seeking information about federal programs which may help you do just that. However, you find yourself bouncing from one site to another, making it difficult for you to get the information you need.
What you need is access to information about federal programs from one central location.
On October 28, 2011, President Obama announced the creation of BusinessUSA, a one-stop, central online platform where small businesses and businesses of all sizes that want to begin or increase exporting can access information about available federal programs without having to waste time navigating the federal bureaucracy.
No doubt this is an important step forward in helping business owners find the resources they need to grow their businesses and ultimately put more Americans to work.
No more wasting time surfing a hundred different sites. Business owners will be able to go to BusinessUSA, access critical resources, and get back to what they do best— run and grow a business.
BusinessUSA is expected to launch early next year.
At HUD, we applaud the creation of BusinessUSA and will do our part to help. Because as President Obama has said, “We can’t wait to create jobs.”
