It’s the beginning of another week here at the HUDdle, so let’s get it started off on the right foot with some of today’s hottest housing news.

Job creation is the name of the game in Daytona Beach, Florida and Wilkesboro, North Carolina thanks to grants from two of HUD’s public housing programs.

And a New York Times commentator urges the housing industry to “re-think” suburban housing and respond to the “demand for smaller, more energy-efficient homes in less car-dependent neighborhoods.”
