Our guest blogger today is David Carradini, HUD’s Center for Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships

On July 26-28 the HUD Faith-Partnership Center is delivering the Southwest Tribal Leadership Conference, under the auspices of the Southwest Tribal Housing Alliance at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, NM.  The theme of the Conference is “After the Assessments: Next Steps,” designed to help tribal leaders make effective use of assessment and survey results to develop needed projects and secure the necessary funding.  Topics to be considered are financial literacy, economic development, infrastructure development, and affordable housing development. Break-out sessions will focus on the nuts and bolts of developing action plans.  Technical assistance, delivered the last day of the conference, will focus on capacity building and funding information.
