No matter where you are, you can connect with HUD and the National Healthy Homes Conference. Join Jon Gant, director of HUD’s Office of Healthy Homes, at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, for a live Twitter chat about the conference and how we can make our homes cleaner and safer.

HUD is hosting the National Healthy Homes Conference June 20-23 in Denver, but before that we want to hear from you. Dangers like mold, poisonous chemicals and pests pose threats to families and cost an estimated $53 billion in medical costs every year – join us on Twitter Tuesday to find out how to make your home as safe and healthy as it can be.

To participate in the chat, tweet your questions with the hashtag #2011healthyhomesconf and follow @HUDNews. Submit your questions about healthy homes from 1:00-1:30 p.m. and Jon Gant will answer as many of them as he can.

  1. I live in a Denver tax credit multifamily rental, managed by Archdiocesan Housing, Inc. Broadway Junction, This property appears has slipped through the cracks, in terms of cleanliness, fair management practices and human rights. Tenants here are appalled by the filthy carpeting in hallways, by a roving “courtesy patrol,” whose identities and employer we do not know, by the denial of access to all conjoining amenities/facilities at Broadway Station. The tenants of this property need help!
